Our Recreational soccer program is designed for youth ages 11 to 18. We offer both a fall and spring season which allows for playing other sports or activities. Recreational program focuses on the following:
- Learn the basic skills
- Learn the game
- Continue to learn advance skills
- Allows the players to do more than play soccer
- Play other sports, play, sing, music, and other activities
- Dance, and be in school plays
What does "recreational" mean?
Recreation provides varying levels of competition. This program continues where our Modified program leaves off. There are no
tryout for this program. The commitment for this program allows players to play other sports or activities. Teams travel locally in the South King and Pierce county for games.

- Coaches in our Recreational program are all volunteers
- All coaches and volunteers are required to pass a background check
- Coaches are encouraged to get a "E" License
- If they continue to coach a "D" License is a good next progression
There are two seasons available to players in the Recreational program.
- Fall Season runs (approximately) the first Saturday after Labor Day through early November.

Spring Season runs (approximately) the last Saturday in March through early June
- Games are generally played on Saturdays
- They play teams from north Renton to south Tacoma-pierce county
- Their team may play in the Recreational Cup Tournament

- Held late October to December
Recreation follows a similar model for organizing teams as you may have seen in the KCYS Modified program
- A registrar will place the player on a team
- The registrar does their best to place the player with teams in a similar area or school
- Players can request to be with a team
- A team of players can organize together
Registration for the Recreational program is open during the following dates:
